The Museum Franz Gertsch is continuing its series of contemporary art exhibitions in the Print Room with a solo show by Andrea Heller. The Swiss artist shows current watercolours and pen-and-ink works on paper in various sizes that offer insights into her current painted oeuvre. She has furthermore realized spatial glass objects that establish a relationship with the works on paper.
Andrea Heller (born 1975) studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg and the Hochschule der Künste in Zürich. She has received diverse prizes and grants, including a studio grant from the Binz39 Foundation, a working grant from the Canton Zurich and a studio from the city of Zurich in the Cité des Arts, Paris. Andrea Heller, the winner of the 2014 Prix Anderfuhren, has regularly exhibited at home and abroad since 2006. The artist lives and works in the Biel/Bienne region.
The exhibition was curated by Anna Wesle in collaboration with the artist, an exhibition catalogue will be published by modo Verlag.
