the legacy
There are two ways of supporting the museum franz gertsch after your death: either by legacy (bequest) or by appointing an heir. In both cases, the legal statutory portions must be observed, as under Swiss law the spouse, descendants and parents may not be deprived of a designated minimum of an inheritance. You can arrange a legacy either through your will or with the appointment of an heir. This will become valid after your death.
A legacy does not necessarily have to take the form of cash, it can also be made in the form of works of art (for instance, by Franz Gertsch), bonds, real estate or tangible assets. After sale, the museum franz gertsch will invest the proceeds in the collection or in exhibitions. Depending on circumstances, it can also add works to its collection and make them available to the public in exhibitions. Your name will always therefore be publicly connected to your donated work of art.
