Thinking of a will may seem unpleasant today. After all, who likes to think of his or her own mortality? However, dealing with one’s will can be a very positive thing to do. A will allows you to arrange your affairs as you would like them after your death in the form of support to people or institutions. Your decisions and desires will be handled in the manner you wanted them.
In order for a will to be valid, it must be handwritten in its entirety, the date and place must be included and it must be signed. You can change, update or cancel your will at any time by yourself. In the case of there being more than one beneficiary of your will, it is advisable to appoint an executor (your bank or lawyer). Once you have appointed an executor, the will can be deposited with them. If you have not named an executor, the municipality or an authorized notary is the official place of deposit for your will depending on your community. In complicated cases it is advisable to seek help from a lawyer who will make sure your will is complete and valid, or to ask advice from your bank.
the contract of inheritance
With a contract of inheritance you can either make a legacy or appoint an heir or heirs. Your decisions will become valid after your death. Please note that you can only dispose of your freely disposable fortune. In contrast to a will, a contract of inheritance must be contracted under notarial seal and can only be declared invalid by mutual consent.
